Privacy
The short version
We collect what you give us in a form and what analytics tells us about how the site is used. We use it to answer you and to make the site better. We never sell it, and we never use client data to train models. You can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
What you type into a form. Name, work email, company, role, website, and whatever you tell us about your decision or your category. Only the fields on the form, and only when you send it.
How the site is used. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. A cookie banner asks for your consent before analytics cookies are set, and you can decline. We do not run advertising trackers.
Spam scoring. Form submissions are passed through an automated spam filter that scores each one. The score is used only to decide whether a person reads the message. It is not used for anything else and is not shared.
What we do with it
We read your message and reply to it. If you asked for the snapshot or a finding, we make it and send it to the address you gave. If you asked about an engagement, we contact you about that engagement. We don't add you to a marketing list because you filled in a form. If you choose to subscribe to updates, we send them from our own mailing system on our own server, and every message carries an unsubscribe link that works the first time.
What we never do
We never sell your information. We never share it with anyone except the service providers who run the site, and they are bound to use it only for that: Cloudflare (network and security), Hetzner (hosting, United States), Amazon Web Services (outbound email), Google (analytics), and Anthropic and OpenAI (the assistant and drafting tools, which never receive your form submissions).
We never use client data to train models. Not ours, not anyone's. Information you share in an intake, the deliverables we produce, and the questions you ask Ask Rathvane stay inside your engagement.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to answer them, then deleted after 24 months unless an engagement followed. Engagement data is governed by the engagement agreement. Analytics data is kept for 14 months, the Google Analytics 4 default.
Your choices
Decline analytics cookies at the banner. Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days.
Where the data lives
The site and its forms run on servers in the United States. If you are outside the United States, what you send us is transferred to and processed there. Email and analytics providers process data in the regions they publish.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Effective February 2026.
